South East Asia

I have always been intrigued by lost places. Angkor Wat, the largest religious temple in the world, built by the powerful Khmer empire, gone for over 400 years, intrigued me since childhood. Angkor disappearing in the jungle is a reminder of how ephemeral we are, how empires, kingdoms, societies, organizations can quickly be absorbed by greater forces when they fail to adapt to circumstances.
